Inspection of your teeth is not just in the comfort of your own home.  Letting a tooth wear for too long on your bucket  will decrease your machines digging performance and may even lead to excess wear on the edge of the bucket.

I enjoy getting snailmail.  When I come home from shooting and I see something sticking out of the mailbox, a little bit of joyful glee comes over me when I realize it’s an industry magazine.  I take my time going through each page reading the articles and enjoying the photography of others in the industry but in the back of my head I am hoping to see one of my images being used every time I flip the page.  It’s not about me, but more about my clients. I enjoy the fact that they are using my images for what they were intended for in the proper marketing media.

Here are a few images that were recently in the latest issue of www.miningmagazine.com for writeups on 2 of my clients Joy Global and Dumas Mining

When traveling to other Countries to photograph mining industrial operations I always try to get out and about to talk & photograph the locals trying to capture a piece of their story in a single image.

Professionally created images can bring more attention to your marketing materials. Take a look at your images, ask others, look at your competitors and see if your images are in the same “league”.  If not, then it’s time to upgrade your media library.

100 ft is the same as 1000 ft when you are underground……………it all looks the same to me.  From a recent session that found me in the mountain instead of under it.

After the converter was fabricated and moved from Anmar the 10o+  ton titan  made it’s  journey to the Vale Smelter.  Only a few Kilometers up the highway the 3hr trip was slow moving as  power lines needed to be raised and traffic directed to ensure a safe journey.

Sudbury Anmar Mechanical

Monday, August 17th, 2015

The second Clean AER (Clean Atmospheric Emissions Reduction Project) converter leaves it’s home from Anmar now that fabrication is done.  Weighing in over 100 tones this unit looks minute in the 130,000 square foot fabrication shop but when you get up close and personal the converter is anything but.  The Converter is easily maneuvered through the shop and out the access door awaiting it’s transport to  Vale’s smelter.

Either before the shoot starts or when it finishes I always like to create  a nice Portrait of my subjects while in the shop.  It’s a way for me to say “Thank You” for being a part of the shoot.  I hope he likes it.
