Winter Family Fun

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

Joce and I just got back from Powassan Ontario where we photographed the “Bertrand” family as part of Halye & Dan’s wedding package.  We really couldn’t have asked for a better day than today…slight overcast……….some light fluffy snow falling….. and after a 5 minute drive down the road we found the perfect “driveway” to capture this photograph.  It is always a pleasure to meet the family of our couples before the wedding day and family sessions like this are a great way to introduce yourself and get to know each other and this session was no exception.  I will posting some other photos from this session after the holidays as we had a unique location to photograph in.  Thanks again Tim, Jennifer, Hayle, Dan, Stephen and Kelsey.

Rutherglen Wedding

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Here are some images from Emily & Wess’s wedding that we documented in Rutherglen Ontario just outside of North Bay.  Although the clouds were looming over us all day threatening the outdoor reception and we had Clem from Ohio as an assistant, the day could not have gone any better.    It literally was a breath of fresh air to be shooting out in the  “Country” and we relished in the new scenes and backgrounds that were constantly at our disposal.    The Edmonds property was a photographers dream, and the family and friends attending the wedding made the surrounding area a place of laughter and enjoyment.  Thanks again to everyone, Joce, Clem and Myself had an amazing time with everyone.

Some Country Weddings Are The Best!!!!

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Well, Joce, myself and Clem from www.ckphotos.net just finished Emily & Wes’s wedding that took place at Wes’s parents place in Rutherglen Ontario.  This property was HUGE!!  I mean like 40 acres huge and it was a photographers paradise.  You know what the hardest decision I had to make today was?  Where was I going to shoot first.     We had it all, big tree’s, old fences, wooden bunkhouses, carpeted two holers, Country roads, bridges,  flowers, pathways, and so much more.  There was a bit of EVERYTHING!!  Sorry, no graffiti in this place.  We had a blast, as usual, just like all our other weddings.  Thanks again Emily, Wes, Kaeleb, Stephanie, Tanya, Alana, Kayla, Rami, Andrew, Jamie, Wayne, & Riley (And thanks Melissa for getting the boutonniere’s).  Thanks Mrs & Mr Edmonds for letting us use your wonderful property to create some outstanding images.

Note:  This isn’t the first time we have had Clem come and assist us.  We learn from our mistakes.  Sometimes, you just have to lay down the ground rules from the very beginning.
