Fall Family Portraits Are Here
Wednesday, September 14th, 2011We just finished creating some great family portraits for the Burton family at a great location near Val Caron. The leaves have already started to turn (more have even dropped) fast and the window for great fall color family portraits is going to be a very very narrow one. We have noticed the increase colors throughout the whole week while on family portrait sessions and tonight was no exception. Paul, Liz, Jack, Emma and Oliver were perfectly dressed for their outdoor family portraits and the white tops just complimented the colors of the background. We love it when a family unit works well together, especially for portraits and the Burtons were on the ball…………even Oliver the best posed dog ever (you will see in future posts).
French River Family Portrait (Food Included)
Tuesday, September 13th, 2011Today’s blog post is coming from the home of the Roy Family. We just finished the Roy’s family portrait here on their property in French River. I’m a little tired after the session, so I am borrowing Vince’s Computer to write this blog post and share an image with you all. It’s a long drive back to Sudbury, and Joce and I have not eaten yet, so we bribed Vince and Heather to make us supper before we go. It all works out in our benefit of course. 🙂 I feel honored to photograph the Roy’s first family photo. We photographed their engagment and their wedding 4 years ago and now they have the beautiful Nessa (along with Roxy) to add to their family. Vince has also been tagging along to some of our weddings as he has started his own wedding videography company Royal Productions this past season.
Well, I smell the food cooking so I better get upstairs and see what’s going on, but first I need to format this harddrive, and I noticed Vince left his facebook account open. Oh people. You should know better.
Here is one quick one from just a few minutes ago.
Family Of Five.
Wednesday, December 29th, 2010The Dikran’s came into the studio today to have a family portrait created while they were all here in Sudbury over the Holidays. I think the total time of photography took about 1/2 hr but the session lasted for well over 1.5 hrs due to the amount of gabbing we did. It’s great when you can take the time to get to know your clients. Jennifer & Stephen (back left) will be getting married this July in Burlington and let me tell you this wedding sounds AWESOME!!! Thanks again everyone for making this session fun and relaxing, it was great getting to know you. 🙂

Amanda & Karryna
Wednesday, September 29th, 2010It was that time of year again when Amanda & Karryna give us a call to do their “not so normal” family portrait. They wanted something edgy compared to the last (which we did in a field off the highway somewhere) so we opted for downtown back alley graffiti. Although the image below doesn’t show any back alley graffiti I think it’s a great location and pose to showcase a mother/daughter portrait. More to come soon.
The Newman Family Are On The Wall.
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010Now that Chris, Kirsti and Aila have picked up their wall portraits for their home I can now post some more images from their family portraits session. We love the fact that some of these images will be hanging on their walls for years to come, everytime they walk into a room they will remember their family at this moment. If you are going to put some sort of art on your wall, why not make it a portrait of your family?
Some Family Fun
Monday, September 13th, 2010Last week we headed out to Val Caron and photographed the Antoine family. We found a great little spot that I always wanted to photograph and they were game. I will definitely have to post more from this session as we just let the kids be kids, digging, running, jumping, eating sand, burrowing (almost swimming) and the images speak for themselves. We never know how the kids are going to react to sitting and having their family portrait taken with mom and dad and they pretty well can dictate how the session will go. Never the less, if you let them have some fun, keep the session flowing and at a steady pace you can come away with some great family memories.
A New Addition To The Family
Tuesday, July 27th, 2010Well the Coutu family has a new addition. Everyone please say hello to baby Dalilah. The Coutu family has come a long way since we first met, and we have photographed them throughout the process. First we photographed the ever lovely Madison in her ballet outfit, then later on in the year we all flew to Jamaica to photograph the Wedding of Sarah & Luc and now we just finished completing another series of images with their latest family portrait. Luckily we photographed this today because Madison is having her hair cut tomorrow (ten inches) to be donated to a specific charity for wigs. We just gotta say this, we LOVE our clients. All of you. Creating memorable portraits of you and your family is what we love best about our photography. It’s hard to explain, but I don’t think there is any other profession that allows you to be a close part of peoples lives and having you there as part of the important moments. Thanks you again Sarah, Luc, Madison and Dalilah. It was great to see you all again, and we look forward to your next session with us.
Thank you for all your Sudbury Support!
Tuesday, July 13th, 2010We also appreciate your emails and phone calls with your feedback on your photography session and finished products. Photographing everyday we tend to get into “robot” mode and these phone calls and emails really snap us back into “creative” mode and put smiles on our faces. Thank you SO MUCH!
