We had a bigger belly contest the other day at our studio.  Natalie won.

Outdoor Sudbury Maternity.

Friday, November 4th, 2011

This afternoon we headed outdoors with Natalie & Dean to create some memorable maternity images that had more of an artistic feel to them.  Armed with our winter jackets (should have had mitts and a toque) we roamed from the studio to bell park with a few stops along the way finding different nooks and crannies that we could get this couple to snuggle and keep each other warm.    The last one (the one below) is more of an environmental maternity that we photographed  at the waters of  Bell Park just as we were wrapping up the session.  Thanks again Natalie & Dean.  With you two in the Hodgins Photography books and your 3 dogs, we look forward to meeting your newest addition to your family.

Alison, Stan & Mya just left the studio after photographing Alison’s Maternity session.  I think most of the session was Stan and I comparing fishing stories, but in between our discussions we managed to capture some unique images of Alison.  We had a great session with this glowing mom 2 be (second time around) and we look forward to meeting the new addition arrives.

More Maternity Sessions In Sudbury

Today we had the beautiful  Carly  in our studio today for her 8 month maternity session.  From highkey to lowkey we covered it all and we came away with some outstanding images.  She was so graceful in front of the camera, a true natural.   Thanks again Carly and Jeff for coming into our studio and allowing us to create these memorable images for you.  We look forward to photographing your new addition to the family.

Pregnant Women Are Twice As Attractive….

to mosquitoes.  Did you know that?  Just a little tidbit of information I learned while photographing the pregnant and beautiful Mini a little while ago.   We decided to do something different for this session so we hiked her across fields, over mountains, through streams and over rolling hills to get to this secret spot.   Actually it’s 100 ft from the parking lot. 🙂  Because the mosquitoes were after her and not me (for a change) she has become a ninja-kung-fo0 mosquito killer.  She is so fast not even my camera could capture the quick flip of her hand as another mosquito falls to it’s doom. 🙂  Thanks again Mini for taking the time and allowing Joce and I to photograph this precious time in your life.  We look forward to capturing more images of you and Rob in the coming months.

Yesterdays bride is now tomorrow’s mother.

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Shari and Louis came in today for their “family” session.  Although the little one is not born yet, they
thought they would get an early start.  We just photographed their wedding last October
( view the slideshow)  and now we are photographing their first born, and soonafter that their
family portrait.  I love to see how the cycle of life unfolds with our photography and our clients.

We  create a warm, relaxed,  stress free environment where we can photograph a part of your life that you will cherish forever.

In studio, your home, or even outdoors the choice is yours.

Jocelyne will always be present during the session,  as she is the one that wraps you up, fixes your hair and anything else that requires a woman’s attention.

We prefer the sessions to be around the 8 month mark, but don’t leave it until the last minute, it’s always best to book a few months ahead to assure our availability.

You don’t want  to look back  and “wish” you would have captured this specific  & special time in your life.

Jocelyne and I can coordinate a relaxing time with you and your family, either in studio or at a location of your choice. We promise you will have fun, your family will have fun, and the images we create will  be something you can cherish for a lifetime.  Investing in a family portrait is an investment in your family, and one that should be carefully planned, coordinated and discussed with all members that are to be photographed.

A family portrait can mean more to the people involved than you probably realize.  It might not be today, tomorrow, or even next week, but when they get older,  looking back at that family portrait will bring back all the memories they had at that time of their life, and yours too.

A beautiful family portrait is one that can be displayed in your home to be looked at every day.  One that is a discussion starter when you have company over, and one that brings back the feelings of closeness, unity, and family enjoyment.

Check out Portrait Clothing Tips so you will look your best  for your family session.
