Windowlight Portraits

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

I think window light was the first light source most photographers used when creating their indoor portraits.  It was free, easy to use, and in most cases a nice soft pleasing light source.  With just one window, you can create a series
of different portraits that are quick, unique and easy.   As I was going through my archived photos from previous years I found some images that really do showcase the versatility of windowlight and one reflector.  No other lights were used for these portraits.

Rollin In The Hay

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

When you let kids just be kids you can get some amazing images.  If you find the right light, with the right location, it can all come together.  Just after we finished the family session I quickly had mom and dad move away as Lucas here was in the right spot, at the right time, doing the right stuff.
