I’m now a card carrying member of PPA
Thursday, June 4th, 2009That’s the Professional Photographers Of America. Why you might ask? I mean, I am a Canadian and a member of Professional Photographers of Canada, isn’t that enough? Well no it isn’t. I’m always looking for other seminars & conventions I can attend to further my photography education, and since I am also speaking (and have spoken) at many US seminars and conventions, I might as well get the merits to put towards my Masters in PPA (I already have my Masters from PPOC). In a recent post on our photography forum that linked to another photography blog, one was asked “how do I ‘make it’ as a photographer?”
This was his answer (one agree with 100%)
2. Be Undeniably Good
1. Dedicate at least 10,000 hours to whatever it is you’re looking to master.
Well, I”m working on my 10,000 hours. I don’t know how many hours I have put in, but I have put in many hours over the last 11 years. I’m not even close to being a “Master” in my opinion, but I am always going to further my education in this art.
