Nadia & Dominic Were Married In The Sault Today.

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

It was a cold, windy and raining day today in Sault Ste. Marie, but that didn’t chill the moods of Nadia & Dominic.   I don’t think the temperature reached over 12 degrees Celsius today but Nadia and Dom were determined to make the best of it and get outdoors when we had the chance.  It’s couples like this that make those rainy day weddings a blessing in disguise.

Nadia stood in one of our last years weddings (Melissa Loves Ben) and we had the chance to get to know her, but we didn’t get to meet Dominic until today as they both live in the Sault and are very busy, but Nadia assured us that Dominic was a very nice guy and she wasn’t wrong.  He has that personality that just makes you feel right at home and with smile on his face all the time you just can’t not like the guy.  Dom said to me today  “James, if you lived in the Sault, we would hang out.”  I think your right Dom.  Dominic  brought a whole new energy to this wedding and when you put him beside his beautiful bride you can see the love between the two, the smiles start, and then the laughter begins.  So many candid moments to capture that made us all smile and laugh all day long.

I love photographing couples outdoors (except for winter) in the rain. First off it gives us a chance to use our umbrellas as they were getting pretty lonely this summer, second of all, you sometimes get to capture those rare moments that you just can’t setup, like the below image.  These are my favorite images, not looking at the camera, laughing, having fun and enjoying the moment.

Thanks again to the Amaril & Deluca family, bridal party and friends.   You made this Sault Ste. Marie wedding one for the books.

Sault Ste. Marie Wedding

Monday, October 27th, 2008

On October 12th, I posted about Monika & Marks wedding in the Sault.  Well, now that they have seen the images, I can post a few more here for you to see.  Again, what a great couple, and the family/bridal party were excellent.  Marks brother Rossano is also a photographer (check his work, some awesome stuff here  Rossano Russo Photography) and he showed me the professional courtesy I would expect from any photographer attending another wedding, yet not the photographer, so thanks Rossano.   Another groomsmen (Cozmo) played a mean guitar and entertained during the bus ride from the church to the boardwalk you can hear some of the music at the Hollows Myspace Page.

The Sault had some awesome locations to shoot in and I can’t wait for my next Sault Ste. Marie Wedding.
